The Westside Multi-Generational Center opened its doors on September 4, 2001. Westside is truly a facility built on partnerships.
The center is a unique mix of public, private and community based organizations. Through these partnerships the center provides neighborhood and community services across the age continuum from preschool to older adult. Maricopa County operates three classrooms through its Head Start program for West Tempe residents. The Head Start programs at Westside Multi-Generational Centers in Tempe are engaged in inter generational programming with the Senior Center bringing preschoolers and seniors together monthly to participate in learning activities together.
