2020 Roundtable on Families Experiencing Homelessness – Schedule

Preliminary Agenda

8:00 – 9:00 am  Registration/Continental Breakfast

9:00 – 10:00 am  Opening Session – State of the Region

During this session, The Office of Head Start, Region IX will update us on the progress our region has made in response to this national crisis.  Information will include current data, grantee resources and lessons learned.

10:00 – 11:00 am  Continuum of Care – HUD’s National effort to support local communities

The Continuum of Care (CoC) Program is designed to promote communitywide commitment to the goal of ending homelessness.  In addition to HUD staff, selected Head Start and Early Head Start agencies will present how they intersect with these local efforts.

11:00 – 12:00 pm  Progress Reports

Head Start Agencies who presented at 2019’s RT will update attendees on the progress they have made, and the lessons learned over the past 12 months.

12:00 – 1:00 pm  Lunch/Networking

1:00 – 2:30 pm  Collaborations with School, Shelters, Systems of Care

Selected grantees will share information on the collaborations they have built with partner organizations.

2:30 – 4:00 pm  Direct Services Targeting Families Experiencing Homelessness

Selected grantees will share details on program options they have developed in response to this crisis in their service area.
