What is a Curriculum Fair? Teachers Teaching Teachers!
“The Curriculum Fair is a special training model that celebrates teacher creativity, skill and expertise. As a part of professional development teachers present and display preschool and infant/ toddler curriculum activities that focus on math and science early learning concepts. The projects and activities grow out of plans made by teachers who often work together in teams and find their inspiration from the children. Teachers will describe how their ideas grew from the interests of the children.
Teachers will explain the processes of their science investigations and display evidence of the children’s work which demonstrates their learning outcomes. Teachers will present their projects to their peers who come from many diverse communities and regional areas to attend the STEM Institute. The Science and Math Curriculum Fair will celebrate the work of the many gifted early childhood teachers working with children ages birth to five.
Teachers will present display booths full of curriculum activities and materials produced by early childhood teachers and experienced by their children. Topics displayed will be related to math and science and include topic studies such as Shadow Exploration, Rocks and Weeds, Sounds all Around, Balls in Action, Fast Plants, Science Inquiry with Sea Shells, Form and Function of Threading, Paths and Inclines, Homemade Roller Coasters, and Water Navigation Systems. Participants will take a “Walk About” through the numerous displays to collect ideas to take back and use in their classrooms. A book of teacher’s lesson plans will be compiled and will be available to all teachers who attend the event.” – Judy Cashell, Pacific Clinics

I have been to management workshops, not leadership training. This has totally changed my perspective and encouraged me to propel forward in developing my skills.
I am honored and humbled to be a recipient of the Region 9 Head Start Association’s Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship helped me get one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a Head Start Director.
I took part in The disproportionate impact of COVID 19, and how to provide “real” support for black/brown children and families and I just want to say this was an amazing webinar. I hope we can look forward to further conversation on this topic.
Thank you so much for making events like this! I really enjoyed and learned so much teaching strategies to implement STEM in the classroom.
The HR Network was an excellent opportunity to network and learn the best practices from other HR professionals within Head Start programs. You will be amazed by the level of talent and experience of the participants.
The Summer Camp training was powerful and inspiring! Each presenter was very engaging, it’s hard to even pick a favorite session!
The Leadership Challenge training was very relevant to my work as a Head Start leader! Great facilitation; stayed with the program yet allowed time for individual and small group reflections.
