Description: Registered Apprenticeship is a respected, tried-and-true approach to training low-income job seekers and placing them on sustainable career pathways, while supplying employers with workers who can meet precise industry workforce needs. Building on the strong apprenticeship tradition, Early Care & Education Pathways to Success (ECEPTS) Apprenticeships represent state-of-the-art, replicable models that can uniquely address Head Start workforce needs by integrating on-the-job training, mentoring, no-cost college coursework, cohort learning, increased compensation, and program participant supports and services that result in consistently high rates of program completion and low rates of attrition.
As a sponsor of multiple Registered Apprenticeships since 2019, and a national Apprenticeship Intermediary for the ECE industry since 2023, ECEPTS has provided comprehensive training and technical assistance to many Head Start teams around developing, implementing, and sustaining Registered Apprenticeship programs that can effectively address the professional development needs of Head Start workers and the labor market needs of Head Start programs.
This session, ECEPTS Head Start Apprenticeship 101, is an intensive training for folks wanting an introduction to apprenticeship, the national apprenticeship system, and what it takes to sponsor and sustain apprenticeship programs for Head Start workers. Topics include:
• Understanding the structure, requirements, and regulations of the Registered Apprenticeship system.

Session Title: Senior Leaders Role and Guide to Creating a Healthy and High-Quality Workplace Culture
Description: Workplace culture can either help or hinder a leader’s efforts to advance an organization’s strategic goals, mission, and desired impact. High-quality workplace cultures positively impact staff in ways that results in a cycle of positive impacts for the organization and those served. Toxic workplace cultures do just the opposite—they create a negative cycle of destructive impacts on staff, the organization, and community served.
This workshop provides senior leaders with tools and frameworks to use as they consider their role and how to lead positive culture change in their organizations. Participants will have an opportunity to:
I have been to management workshops, not leadership training. This has totally changed my perspective and encouraged me to propel forward in developing my skills.
I am honored and humbled to be a recipient of the Region 9 Head Start Association’s Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship helped me get one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a Head Start Director.
I took part in The disproportionate impact of COVID 19, and how to provide “real” support for black/brown children and families and I just want to say this was an amazing webinar. I hope we can look forward to further conversation on this topic.
Thank you so much for making events like this! I really enjoyed and learned so much teaching strategies to implement STEM in the classroom.
The HR Network was an excellent opportunity to network and learn the best practices from other HR professionals within Head Start programs. You will be amazed by the level of talent and experience of the participants.
The Summer Camp training was powerful and inspiring! Each presenter was very engaging, it’s hard to even pick a favorite session!
The Leadership Challenge training was very relevant to my work as a Head Start leader! Great facilitation; stayed with the program yet allowed time for individual and small group reflections.
