Coaching with Heart and Hustle

Kati Vaughn, B.A., M.A

Founder, Stay the Course

Click here to start your registration

You’ve just completed two days of intense focus, active learning, and collaboration with peers, friends, and colleagues across the R9 Head Start community. Take time now to pause and focus on YOU.  To effectively serve students, families, and our teams with all of our heart and hustle, we must take time to personally reflect and recharge. Together, we will:

1) Connect and build community – we’re not in this work alone.

2) Examine the identity markers, habits, and mindsets that influence our leadership style, independently and in partnership with others: How does *who we are* shape the ways we teach or lead?

3) Plan for the spring: How will we be more deliberate and purposeful in caring for ourselves and our people?

So, are you feeling burned out? Wondering whether you’re making an impact? ? Hungry for time to simply pause, think, and feel? This day is for you.

Stay the Course exists to sustain and develop the powerful impact of hard-working educators through person-centered coaching  and professional development for teachers and leaders. Kati’s path to founding Stay the Course has been fueled by a lifelong passion for teaching and leading in the classroom.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Harvard University, and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Loyola Marymount University. She brings over a decade of teaching, coaching, and management experience with an emphasis on equity and inclusiveness. Over 7 years of working directly with school-based staff in Washington, D.C., she averaged a teacher retention rate of 94%, and consistently rated higher than regional and national averages on measures of teacher satisfaction and healthy mindsets. In addition to her coaching work, she has led numerous professional learning experiences focused on culturally responsive teaching, educator wellness, and values-based leadership.

This training will take place at The Avatar Hotel in Santa Clara, CA  – Click here to reserve your room.
