    HR Network – Compliance

    Rachel Roberts

What a fantastic platform to exchange information!

    Sabrina Dong

    Hi everyone,

I am Sabrina, currently an HR Manager at a small Head Start agency called Kai Ming Head Start in San Francisco. We have about 120 employees and 8 Centers across the City of San Francisco, and we have been operating since 1975. If you are interested in finding out more or connect with us in anyway, feel free to check out our website:

I am ready to contribute and share my insight with the peers here. Looking forward to connecting and growing together.

Question: I am curious how other agencies are complying with the criminal background check in the new HSPPS especially the Sex Registry Check?

    Emilia Eldridge

    Hi Sabrina,

We use the following links to check employees in the Sex Offender Registry: – Sex Offender Search for Arizona – National Sex Offender Search

We do not pay for our background checks, but I believe searching the Sex Offender Registry is standard practice for background checks that are through a HRIS.

    Hi Emilia,

Thank you so much for your response! Actually we are now using the too to conduct the Sex Offender Registry Check. We have asked the region 9 office, and yes it’s an acceptable method to comply with the new HSPPS. I appreciate you sharing your practice with us.

Thank you. Have a great weekend!

    Hi everyone…
Does anyone have a Retention Policy for document storage? I can certainly create one, but man…what a lot of work. Thought I would ask first. Thx
