Inspiring Movement, Resilience and Self-Care

Help! I’m exhausted! Sound familiar? Join us for this fun and accessible workshop; offering ways to inspire resilience and self-care for both you and the children you serve. Learn how imaginative movement, mindfulness and calming techniques can support wellness both in and out of the classroom.

The price for this session is $99.00/person – member or non member.

The virtual training will be conducted via Zoom Webinar. The training will be broken into two segments 9:00am-10:30am, 10:45am-12:00pm PST


Session includes:

  • Ideas for using Imagination Yoga and Mindfulness to support emotional skill building, self-control, early literacy and BOLD kindness.
  • Learn how yoga can help to metabolize trauma and encourage resilience.
  • Discuss the importance of self-care in positions where secondary trauma is a part of the job. Self-care strategies are introduced and practiced.
  • Learn the basics of the Thought Work model to promote a positive and resilient mindset.
  • Session ends with a guided relaxation to help calm your heart, body and mind.
  • Support materials from the workshop in PDF format

Presenters: Jamie Dix and Jessica McClintic

After fusing their two loves, yoga and children, Jamie and Jessica developed a kids yoga program called Imagination Yoga. The sister-team has created and led countless adult trainings, written multiple Imagination Yoga curriculum being used worldwide, and have worked with tens of thousands of children offering yoga as a way to inspire movement, calm, kindness and imagination. IY began working with Head Start in 2014 and created an Imagination Yoga/Head Start training being implemented throughout the nation.
