The Leadership Challenge for Head Start Managers and Directors
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.—John Quincy Adams
Running a Head Start Association means juggling the needs of children, parents and staff as well as the myriad of tasks needed to operate any business organization. Meanwhile, Head Start agencies are experiencing enormous stress and additional uncertainty due to re-competition, budget restrictions and increased poverty in families. This workshop will give you super powers—how to achieve the extraordinary while overcoming the overwhelming.
Registration Fee includes:

- Access to your personal LPI file and assessments

Coaching VIP
After participants receive their 360-degree feedback and complete The Leadership Challenge two-day training experience, three individual coaching sessions will be scheduled with each participant to occur over the upcoming ten weeks.
The coaching will occur via three one-hour telephone calls using a cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused approach. As the coach and participant review, assess and evaluate the feedback, the coach will lead each participant through a series of questions and customized discussions about how feedback may be interpreted and how the participant’s future leadership may benefit from the feedback that has been provided.
Through the action-oriented conversations, coaching will be conducted by professional executive coaches who do not work internally within the organizations where the Head Start leaders are employed. Coaching will be aimed at enhancing goal attainment, increasing resilience and workplace well-being while reducing individual stress as these leaders implement changes within their organizations. Time will be provided, between coaching sessions, for participants to try out new ideas and/or different leadership behaviors and support will be provided to build and inspire momentum.
In the past, participants have reported that coaching that continues after The Leadership Challenge has supported them in increasing self-confidence and personal insights, built management skills and helped participants to positively and actively contribute to supporting others within their organizations in adjusting to important organizational changes.
