Lindsay is our new Program Manager of Membership Engagement and Communications at Region 9 Head Start Association. Lindsay grew up in Fairfield, Ca, and has always enjoyed helping and working with others. Lindsay attended Sacramento State and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Family Studies and Human Development.
After graduating, Lindsay worked for the Head Start Program in Vacaville, Ca as a Family Advocate. As a Family Advocate, she assisted families enrolling in the program and worked with children in the classroom as well. During her time at Head Start, she gained admiration for Head Start’s mission and the many services they provide to the community. She then moved on to work as an Event Coordinator at a family-owned winery in Sonoma, Ca.
Lindsay brings to her new role at Region 9 Head Start Association her strong passion for working with diverse families and individuals. She thrives off interacting and working with others to get the job done, and always brings her positive, up-beat attitude to the office!
I have been to management workshops, not leadership training. This has totally changed my perspective and encouraged me to propel forward in developing my skills.
I am honored and humbled to be a recipient of the Region 9 Head Start Association’s Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship helped me get one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a Head Start Director.
I took part in The disproportionate impact of COVID 19, and how to provide “real” support for black/brown children and families and I just want to say this was an amazing webinar. I hope we can look forward to further conversation on this topic.
