A community of practice for Head Start and Early Head Start HR staff, Coaches, Coordinators, and Supervisors working to elevate Coaching Strategies which ultimately advances not only the health and wellbeing of children and families but the health, wellbeing and employee engagement of staff
Education coaches have long been a part of HS/EHS programming. However, coaching isn’t just for education staff. All positions throughout a program can and should be recipients of coaching. Research demonstrates that coaching increases employee engagement and retention.
Strong and effective coaches are important for Head Start and Early Head Start programs because it helps educators and all staff engage more intensely, improve their skills and practices in early childhood education and agency operations ensuring better outcomes for children and families.
Here’s the impact of coaching that programs will reap:
What or “Learning Outcomes”
In this summit here are just a few learning outcomes that participants will receive.
The ideal employee target group for this summit includes the total spectrum of agency leadership, e.g., CEO’s, Directors, HR staff, existing program coaches, Coordinators, Supervisors and Educators who are seeking to accelerate the impact of these efforts in the classroom, and all aspects of the agency. The two-day gathering will be facilitated by two seasoned professionals. Our time together will conclude with a discussion about developing a Community of Practice for Coaches.
Larry Campbell is recognized by the Certified Coaches Alliance. After 13 years working in Head Start, he left his Executive Director position with the burning desire to help other executive teams become more cohesive and exceptional in their service delivery via professional coaching.

Each day, both breakfast and lunch will be provided. Our session will conclude at 2:30 pm on day two.
I have been to management workshops, not leadership training. This has totally changed my perspective and encouraged me to propel forward in developing my skills.
I am honored and humbled to be a recipient of the Region 9 Head Start Association’s Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship helped me get one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a Head Start Director.
I took part in The disproportionate impact of COVID 19, and how to provide “real” support for black/brown children and families and I just want to say this was an amazing webinar. I hope we can look forward to further conversation on this topic.
Thank you so much for making events like this! I really enjoyed and learned so much teaching strategies to implement STEM in the classroom.
The HR Network was an excellent opportunity to network and learn the best practices from other HR professionals within Head Start programs. You will be amazed by the level of talent and experience of the participants.
The Summer Camp training was powerful and inspiring! Each presenter was very engaging, it’s hard to even pick a favorite session!
The Leadership Challenge training was very relevant to my work as a Head Start leader! Great facilitation; stayed with the program yet allowed time for individual and small group reflections.
