First, we are an independent, not-for-profit membership organization. We are not the Head Start WEST Office of Head Start, nor are we a local program. Second, we believe in the essential mission of our local member programs in the states of Arizona, California, Hawaii and the Pacific Region, and Nevada. Our goal is to collaborate with the state associations, national associations, and others who work with urgency and passion to serve vulnerable children and families.
Our operating funds are generated by membership dues, net income from training events, donations to our general fund, and sponsorships.
Membership is open to agencies and organizations providing services funded by a Head Start grant. Agencies may be grantees, delegates, partners, or service delivery contractors. Individual membership flows from your association with the agency.

I have been to management workshops, not leadership training. This has totally changed my perspective and encouraged me to propel forward in developing my skills.
I am honored and humbled to be a recipient of the Head Start WEST’s Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship helped me get one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a Head Start Director.
