2022 Early Childhood STEM Institute (Virtual & On Demand)

March 21, 2022 @ 8:00 am - March 23, 2022 @ 5:00 pm

R9HSA’s Early Childhood STEM Institute is focused on bringing our community a fun and engaging experience to learn science principles in an interactive, hands-on approach, enabling Head Start education staff to teach about science principles appropriately and knowledgeably.

For 2022, our theme is  Educators as Seekers. The 2022 Early Childhood STEM Institute will focus on educators’ discovery and love of science knowledge, technology innovations, engineering creativity, and math reasoning to nurture young learners and their families. We believe in the power of scientific knowledge to ensure school success and beyond. Our emphasis will be to strengthen the STEM identity of all staff working in programs Birth – Age 5, including Home Visitors, Family Child Care partners, Teachers and Managers.  Together we will inspire our next generation of STEM advocates.

This will be a three-day virtual institute providing the following learning formats:

  • General Sessions – 60 minutes, live
  • Learning labs – 90 minutes,  live
  • Education sessions – 60 minutes, live
  • Education sessions (Spanish) – 60 minutes, pre recorded
  • Knowledge Builders/sponsored sessions – 45 minutes, pre-recorded
