The Head Start WEST (HSW) is a private, not-for-profit membership organization of the 215 Head Start recipients, subrecipients, and community partners in the states of Arizona, California, Nevada, Hawai’i, and the Pacific Region, who provide Head Start and Early Head Start services to more than 130,000 families annually.

Membership in the association includes agency memberships. All employees of that agency receive membership benefits.

HSW is governed by a 29-member Board of Directors, including six individuals from each state.
