Dollar per Child

pattern pattern

The Dollar per Child campaign supports Head Start advocacy across the nation. The National Head Start Association (NHSA) works hard to protect and elevate Head Start programs by raising awareness about the millions of at-risk children in the U.S.

Elected officials are so busy that it is easy for them to overlook Head Start’s impact on the lives of young children and their families. We must remind them that Head Start is an investment that pays out over the course of a child’s lifetime.

Federal restrictions limit what funds can support this work. In fact, not a single dollar of federal funds is spent on advocacy work. Therefore, voluntary contributions are a critical source of our advocacy support.

Help keep the window of opportunity for success open to more children by contributing to the Dollar per Child campaign. Head Start WEST is the nation’s largest, serving over 130,000 children. Help us meet our goal of $1 for every Head Start child in Head Start WEST!
