Serving those children are more than 30,000 adults in a variety of roles. Each adult is essential to ensuring the child and families success.

The R9HSA believes in elevating the work of the staff in our local programs. Supporting you to achieve your dreams.

Each Year, Region 9 Head Start Association reviews the available resources donated to our organization and establishes criteria for eligibility to apply for available funds. For 2022 the following criteria will determine if an applicant may apply.

  • Full-time employee working in Head Start or Early Head Start
  • Or Member of Parent Policy Council/Committee
  • Enrolled in 12 units or more – see Who below.
  • Working for an agency that are members of the Region 9 Head Start Association

Funds won will be directed to your school for use on tuition, fees, books, and materials. The Scholarship and awards committee will review each qualified applicant to determine need and commitment to the applicant’s educational goals.  Grant levels are differentiated by state the winner resides in.
