Yes, this year we are focused on supporting staff who are pushing or close to finish their degree. It might be an AA or BA/BS degree — that does not matter. It might also be a graduate degree — MA/MS or Ed.D/PhD.

Yes, as long as you attend a 2-year or 4-year, accredited institution. It does not matter if it is a traditional, in-person, online, or hybrid program, with some online and some in-person coursework. You will be asked to submit your most recent transcripts.

The transcripts should be from the current semester — Winter 2022 or Spring 2023. Transcripts are used to verify that you are taking 12 or more units and/or the type of institution you are attending. Transcripts do not need to be official or sealed.
Yes, we do not have limits on the number of times you may apply and win. You may apply again whether you won last year or did not win.
Yes, the goal is to support staff who are working on their education now or in the near future. But Funds cannot be held for you until you start attending college. They must be applied to the next semester costs. You can ask the institution to apply any unused funds to the semester after that. For more information contact Lindsey Knox at lknox@region9hsa.org
The scholarship funds are deposited directly with the institution you are enrolled with. Most colleges and universities have personnel who can assist you in securing the information you will need to apply the funds to your school account.

I have been to management workshops, not leadership training. This has totally changed my perspective and encouraged me to propel forward in developing my skills.
