The Region 9 Head Start Association (R9HSA) is a not-for-profit membership organization established to address issues related to at-risk families and to support and represent the interests of Region 9 Head Start programs.  Members of the association are organizations who are funded to deliver the following services: Head Start, Early Head Start, and Early Head Start Child Care Partners.

The Association is comprised of a board of directors, agencies, and corporations from Arizona, California, Nevada, and Hawaii, and the Pacific Region. It is the largest geographical region in the United States and serves more than 120,000 infants, toddlers, preschool children, and families. America’s day begins and ends in Region 9!

Head Start and Early Head Start Programs employ and contract with over 37,000 staff. This includes 8602 current or former parents or Head Start children employed with the agencies in Region 9. In Region 9 Head Start Association, membership is held by grantee and delegate organizations. Membership waterfalls to the staff, childcare partners, and contractors of those organizations.
In addition, Region 9 Head Start Association welcomes the memberships of individuals – Friends and Corporate membership.
