Past Scholarships and Awards

pattern pattern

Each year, the Region 9 Head Start Association awards $1,500 scholarships to Head Start teachers who are attending college. Because of increased and generous donor support over the past several years, both the number of scholarships and the actual dollar awards have increased dramatically.

The Region 9 Head Start Association has a rich history of awarding scholarships to emerging members of our community. In 2016, each recipient received $500 to support their college tuition. In 2017 two individuals received $1,000 each for their studies. In 2018, three individuals received $1,000 each for their studies. Now, we are awarding more than a dozen scholarships a year.
