For better or worse, technology is becoming more and more prevalent in both the home and classroom environments. In this interactive session, Dr. Tammy Kwan, co-founder & CEO of Cognitive ToyBox, will review the latest research on how to make the most of technology in the early childhood classroom. She’ll demonstrate how to use the research-based “four pillars of learning” framework as a means to evaluate the educational value of different “educational” apps for young children. Kwan will provide practical ways to implement developmentally appropriate practices using the Cognitive ToyBox observation and game-based assessment platform as an example. Attendees will come away with an understanding of how to best utilize the limited screen time allotted to their young students each week.
This session is scheduled on February 23rd from 2:00-3:00 PM PT.
