    COMMUNICATIONS: Share Your Story

In these times it is essential for you to share your story in many directions – with your staff, parents, partners, and the local media. We have created two tools for you to use in this effort.

The first is a simple MEDIA ADVISORY. Just a couple tips: The form should be sent to the education, lifestyle, feature, government reporter(s) of local newspapers and to the assignment editor of the local radio and/or TV stations. Print and electronic media also have news/tip submission portals on their websites, so these can be searched for and used. It’s best to paste the information into the web portal and not use an attached pdf or Word doc. Please share with the R9HSA any resulting coverage so that we may share it with others tracking the impact of Head Start. Click here to download the MEDIA ADVISORY.

In addition, the flow of information may be a challenge to staff and parents. As we move from this phase to the next, all of us are restless and ready for a change. Here is another tool that we have drafted to support the understanding of information sources. Click here to download – COVID-19 Information Guide & Websites.
