We are excited to bring forward a rich offering of courses for your staff in June. This series is a six-topic, eighteen one-hour webinars, that will be produced and available live as well as on-demand. We have selected an excellent faculty for each of the sessions. In addition, we are planning a few fun “camp-like” experiences in addition to the learning, except no bug spray, bus rides and wild animals! The content for our sessions targets education staff working in Birth to 5 settings, specifically teachers, teacher assistants, education aids, substitutes, volunteers and classroom allies.
Each of the six topics will provide deep foundational information, strategies, and action planning to ensure implementation. Attendees will be provided a Camp Journal (program guide) to follow the series and be offered reflective questions to use with peers and supervisors for follow-up discussions/strategies sessions. The content is not exclusively focused on children transitioning to Kindergarten in the Fall, however, the presenters are being asked to create content that reflects the Office of Head Start’s Summer Program guidelines and the possibility that much of the program may be delivered uniquely – small groups, pop-ups, centers, home visiting and virtually.
Additionally, attendees will be offered the opportunity to bundle their Summer Camp registration with a 12-month subscription to continued.com’s Early Childhood Education. With over 280+ courses online, this resource is extensive and accessible 24/7, 365. Professional development designed with Region 9’s community in mind.
Summer camp will be back in 2022.
I have been to management workshops, not leadership training. This has totally changed my perspective and encouraged me to propel forward in developing my skills.
I am honored and humbled to be a recipient of the Region 9 Head Start Association’s Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship helped me get one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a Head Start Director.
I took part in The disproportionate impact of COVID 19, and how to provide “real” support for black/brown children and families and I just want to say this was an amazing webinar. I hope we can look forward to further conversation on this topic.
Thank you so much for making events like this! I really enjoyed and learned so much teaching strategies to implement STEM in the classroom.
The HR Network was an excellent opportunity to network and learn the best practices from other HR professionals within Head Start programs. You will be amazed by the level of talent and experience of the participants.
The Summer Camp training was powerful and inspiring! Each presenter was very engaging, it’s hard to even pick a favorite session!
The Leadership Challenge training was very relevant to my work as a Head Start leader! Great facilitation; stayed with the program yet allowed time for individual and small group reflections.
