HR Network
The HR Network is a professional learning community for managers working in Human Resource departments in Head Start/Early Head Start programs around the region. The HR Network is a unique opportunity for individuals supporting all functions of HR – Recruitment – Safety – Employee Relations – Compensation and Benefits – Compliance – Talent Development – to come together to listen, learn, network and build a professional community to advance our agencies performance. This network meets six times per year. Lead by a leadership team that includes several program staff, regional TTA, consultants and association staff. The goal of each meeting is to presents information, reflect on challenges facing local programs and share resources and strategies that are effective. Network meeting are intended to inform, connect, and inspire high quality services for our children and families.

- Visit www.region9hsa.org
- Click on the MYR9HSA tab located on the upper right corner of your screen
- Once in the member log in page, you will need to retrieve your username and reset your password to gain access
- If you experience any setbacks during this process, please send an e-mail to Fernando at falvarenga@region9hsa.org requesting access and you will receive both your default username and a “reset your password link” shortly after
- Once you are all logged in, click on the “My Profile” tab
- On the “My Profile” page you will have the ability to customize your personal details such as contact information, profile picture, etc.
- In Your Profile, navigate to the “My Features” tab next. On the drop down, select the “Committees” link
- Through this link you will see all of the committees your profile is currently associated with. Before you click on the “HR Network” link, make sure that the “Email Notification” switch is ON to ensure you receive e-mail notifications regarding new activity in the HR Network committee
- Once you are in the HR Network committee, you will have access to three tabs –
- Messages – think of this as the message board for this group. Comments, news, and discussions surrounding the HR Network will be posted here
- Members – consider this the group’s roster. Through this tab you can access each members’ profile to create connections (friend request) as well as establish circles (closed groups)
- Files – any files being shared within this group will be posted here. If you wish to share a file with the rest of the group, you will do that through this tab

2020 Winter Human Resources Network Meeting
February 11 – 12, 2020
The Avatar Hotel – Santa Clara, CA
The HR Network meets two times per year – Summer and Winter. Our 2020 Winter Meeting will be held at the Avatar Hotel in Santa Clara, CA, February 11-12, 2020. The Avatar is just minutes from the San Jose, CA International Airport. The Hotel is accessible from all areas of Region 9. Our schedule is designed to offer time for briefings from key informants, presentations from colleagues, vendors and most importantly time for open discussion, resource sharing and professional networking.
The HR Network Meeting agenda is developed by a volunteer committee of HR professionals working in Head Start funded agencies. A draft agenda is below – a final agenda will be posted in January. At the HR Summer meeting, those in attendance requested an agenda which included Fiscal Services staff – for discussions, best practice sharing and networking.
