A community of practice for Head Start and Early Head Start HR Professionals who manage the various aspects of employee management, such as compensation, engagement, wellness and development.
HR Professionals in our Head Start and Early Head Start programs are vital to the well-being of our staff. The key areas of impact include recruitment, retention and performance. In addition, well managed HR services are central to professional development, organizational culture and community impact. R9HSA believes our HR professionals are fundamental to the success of a high impact organization.
This community of practice includes HR Directors or Managers, Recruitment Specialists, Training and Development Coordinators, Compensation and Benefits specialists, Coaches and generalists.. Networking calls via Zoom and In-Person. Networks participation is limited to managers and directors in their respective topic areas. Participants are encouraged to email questions or agenda topics to headstartr9@region9hsa.org.

I have been to management workshops, not leadership training. This has totally changed my perspective and encouraged me to propel forward in developing my skills.
I am honored and humbled to be a recipient of the Region 9 Head Start Association’s Legacy Scholarship. The scholarship helped me get one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a Head Start Director.
I took part in The disproportionate impact of COVID 19, and how to provide “real” support for black/brown children and families and I just want to say this was an amazing webinar. I hope we can look forward to further conversation on this topic.
