Session Title: Evaluating Your Program’s Coaching Model for Impact

Session Description: Before diving into coaching, every program must pause to ask: What is our system, and what do we want coaching to achieve? In this interactive session, participants will be guided through the essential process of designing a clear, intentional coaching model—one that brings equity, clarity, and trust to the coaching relationship. We’ll explore foundational questions such as: Who gets coached, and why? What message does that send? How do we ensure coaching is strength-based, not deficit-driven or tied solely to performance metrics like CLASS scores? A key focus will be on creating a coaching agreement—a document that defines the scope of coaching, outlines confidentiality, and distinguishes support from supervision. When expectations and boundaries aren’t clear, coaching risks becoming punitive or performative. But when trust and clarity are built in from the start, coaching becomes transformational.

Session Title: Coaching Frameworks: Structuring Conversations for Impact

Session Description: What actually happens inside a coaching session? For too many programs, coaching can feel unstructured or inconsistent—leaving both coach and coachee unclear on where the conversation is going or what should happen next. This session introduces participants to evidence-based coaching frameworks that bring structure, focus, and momentum to every conversation. Whether it’s GROW, CLEAR, OSKAR, FUEL, or another model, each framework provides a roadmap for guiding teachers from reflection to action.

Session Title: Skill Building: Strengthening the Core Moves of Coaching

Session Description: Great coaching doesn’t happen by accident — it’s built on a foundation of practiced, intentional skills. In this hands-on session, participants will deepen their capacity to facilitate powerful coaching conversations by exploring and practicing the essential elements that underpin every effective interaction. From asking open-ended or probing questions, to summarizing and paraphrasing with clarity, to attuning to emotions and reflecting meaning back to the coachee — each of these skills helps build trust, uncover insight, and move the conversation forward.
